Allegiant Air starts eight unserved US routes

Allegiant Air’s Flint Floridian Double

Flint Airport celebrated the start of Allegiant Air’s services to St. Pete-Clearwater on 13 April with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony which was conducted by: Sixto Olivo, past Bishop International Airport Authority Board member; David VanderVeen, Oakland County Central Services; Brenda Clack-Genesee, County Board of Commissioners; Fred Shaltz, Bishop International Airport Authority Board member; Jamie Curtis, Chairperson, Genesee County Board of Commissioners; Deb Cherry, Treasurer Genesee County; Pegge Adams, Genesee County Board of Commissioners; Dave McCredie, past Bishop International Airport Authority Board member; Sue Lauber, past Bishop International Airport Authority Board member; Brandon Myers, Public Relations Specialist, Allegiant Air; Win Cooper, Chairperson, Bishop International Airport Authority; Terry Masse, past Bishop International Airport Authority Board member; and Jerry Preston, past Bishop International Airport Authority Board member. The airport also celebrated with a fantastic cake which is seen being showcased by the airport’s Pat Corfman, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, and Autumn Perry-MacClaren, Assistant Director of Marketing and Public Relations. On 14 April, the airport also celebrated the airline’s start of services to Orlando Sanford with another fantastic cake. Finally as part of celebrations of the inaugural service to St. Pete-Clearwater, Allegiant Air surprised a family by giving them a free trip to Florida. Connor Willmeth and his family had flown Allegiant Air a few years ago for his Make-A-Wish trip to Disney.

Richmond Airport celebrated the start of services by Allegiant Air to Orlando Sanford in Florida on 14 April with beach themed cupcakes. The next day the airline also commenced services from the Virginia airport to Jacksonville, also in Florida. Neither route faces direct competition.

Memphis Airport celebrated the start of Allegiant Air’s services to Jacksonville on 15 April with beach shell cookies.

  • Allegiant Air commenced services on eight routes between 13 and 15 April, all of which face no direct competition. Orlando Sanford (SFB) and Jacksonville (JAX) garnered the most routes, each seeing three new city pairs inaugurated. All eight sectors started by Allegiant Air this week will be served twice-weekly onboard the carrier’s MD-80 fleet according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.
