Reno-Tahoe to host 2016 Boyd International Aviation Forecast Summit
Reno-Tahoe International Airport will be hosting the 2016 Boyd International Aviation Forecast Summit 18-20 September.
The Boyd Summit, which attracts the top airline and aircraft manufacturing executives from across the world as speakers each year, is scheduled to take place between 18-20 September in scenic Squaw Valley, adjacent to picturesque Lake Tahoe. Reno-Tahoe International Airport is proud to host the impressive roster of aviation industry leaders.
Squaw Valley is the ideal location for an international aviation event. It was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The Olympic motto “Faster, Stronger, Higher” is a perfect fit for the aviation industry in 2016. The setting that once hosted the top winter athletes from around the world will now host aviation leaders from China, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany, UK, South Korea, UAE and more. Attendees will also enjoy special sessions about conducting aviation business in China and Cuba. The Boyd Summit, and Reno-Tahoe, are promising a conference that will be a gold medal experience for the global attendees.
There’s also another reason for the aviation community to race to this year’s Boyd Summit. It has been purposely timed to coincide with one of the most impressive spectacles in the sky – the famous Reno National Championship Air Races. Attendees who arrive before the start of the Boyd Summit can enjoy aircraft racing at more than 400 mph only 75 feet off the ground. In the span of a day, Boyd Summit attendees can go from the thunder of P-51 Mustang engines ringing in their ears, to hearing from true experts as to where the airline industry is heading in the future. Special Boyd Summit/Air Race packages are available.
It is truly fitting that an aviation conference of this magnitude is being held in the elevated mountain region of Reno-Tahoe. Squaw Valley sits at more than 6,300 feet above sea level, and Reno is reaching new heights as a business destination with Tesla, Panasonic and Switch now calling Reno home. Reno-Tahoe is the perfect combination of stunning alpine beauty adjacent to a city on the rise. More than 53,000 new jobs are expected to be added in the region in the next five years.
The Boyd Summit in Reno-Tahoe will be an event of Olympic proportions. From its international flavour in a spectacular historic location, to the roaring speed of the Reno Air Races and the inspiring natural setting near Lake Tahoe, this year’s Boyd Summit will truly meet its attendee’s highest expectations.
