Your London Airport-Gatwick sponsors anna.aero in Ride London – Surrey 100 cycle race
After swimming the Bosphorus the previous weekend, on 31 July anna.aero’s TeamBron – Publisher, Paul Hogan and his son Max – took part in the Ride London – Surrey 100 cycle race around 100 miles (160km) of the capital and Surrey Hills.
“We were verrrrry generously sponsored by Your London Airport-Gatwick, all in aid of 3H, a charity local to the airport which provides holidays to the disabled and their carers – we’re grateful, 3H is grateful, but most of all the families are grateful for Gatwick’s generosity. To show our appreciation anna.aero is baking a special cake for the historic re-launch of Cathay Pacific Airways services to Hong Kong on 2 September,” said Hogan senior.
“We’d also like to thank Lynne Loving, Charity Manager, 3H Fund, for giving us our third ride in this race,” added Hogan. “I achieved a personal best of 6 hours 23 mins – a 1.5 minute improvement – or about one second per mile! Max did a whole lot better at 5 hours 35 in the accident-affected race.”
TeamBron, which is named after Brontë “Bron” Hogan, the anna.aero publisher’s 12-year-old daughter who lost her five-year battle with leukaemia in 2011, raises over $30,000 every year for a range of good causes.
