The airline will operate the 3,891-kilometre sector daily on its 737-900s according to OAG Schedules Analyser data, with the carrier facing direct competition from United Airlines’ 17 weekly flights. Alaska Airlines already links San Diego to Boston and Orlando on the East Coast, while the carrier also links the Californian city with two destinations in Mexico, four in Hawaii as well as a further eight in the US. On 15 March next year the airline will add a fourth East Coast destination to its San Diego route map, with Baltimore/Washington joining the schedule.
