Vote for the best Cake of the Week Part I – choose the winner from the 26 baked beauties from the start of S17

Here we go again! Its the Cake of the Week Public Vote Part I. Four tiers for four new routes, adorned with flags of the country markets about to be served as well as it being topped by the obligatory replica Ryanair aircraft, this cake has many of the qualities which would win it Cake of the Week. However all that goes out the window this week – the cake with the most votes wins, whether it is pleasing to the eye or not.

The first week of route launches for the (northern) summer season of S17 has brought our data elves hundreds of tonnes of eggs, flour, butter, sugar and every conceivable colour of icing. From the last week of entries sent in we have shortlisted 26 cakes for our bi-annual anna.aero’s readers’ vote. The winner from Part I of the W16/17 competition was London Stansted (below), which collected more than 37% of all votes, beating Tampa by just 33 votes. As well as cakes, we have been flooded with new route FTWAs – see our FTWA vote here.

The rules are very strict: you have to get as many votes as you can to win! How you get these votes is of little concern to us, as long as it is legal (or you don’t get caught). So if you want your new route cake to win, get everyone in your airport/airline to vote, get it shared on Facebook, LinkedIn and get re-tweeting! N.B. The airport names which are underlined are the bakers of the cake(s) in question. The results will be published in next week’s newsletter. Get voting now!!

The high of winning the prestigious anna.aero Cake of the Week Public Vote lives long in the memory, just ask these five present at Atlasglobal’s London Stansted launch last year – they have a story which their grandchildren will never tire of hearing!
