Passengers can be seen checking in for flight LX 2513 on 2 April, the return service of SWISS’ inaugural flight from Zurich. The airline will offer twice-weekly (Fridays and Sundays) flights on the 1,133-kilometre route from Switzerland’s largest city. No other carrier currently operates between Zurich and Nis.
- SWISS launched flights to Serbia’s third largest city on 2 April, starting a twice-weekly (Fridays and Sundays) service between Zurich (ZRH) and Nis (INI). The 1,133-kilometre link will be flown on a mixture of the airline’s single-aisle Airbus’ and CS100s. No other airline currently links Zurich and Nis. With this launch, it means that SWISS now serves two destinations in Serbia, with the Nis route joining the airline’s existing twice-daily service between Zurich and Belgrade. For Nis Constantine The Great Airport it becomes the ninth route and first to be operated by a flag carrier, the other eight routes being shared equally between Ryanair and Wizz Air. Coincidentally all nine routes are served twice-weekly.
