Thank you for your attention! VIPs and media were gathered to receive all the latest news from Lufthansa’s arrival in Bordeaux. We’re pretty sure they were told that the 903-kilometre sector to Frankfurt will be operated twice-weekly.
- Lufthansa launched two new hub spokes from its biggest two bases of Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC). On 28 March, the South German airport saw the start of a six times weekly operation to Nantes (NTE). Operated by the airline’s A320 family, the 1,007-kilometre sector will face competition from Volotea (twice-weekly). On 2 April, a twice-weekly service (Thursdays and Sundays) began to Bordeaux (BOD). No other airline operates this city pair, which Lufthansa will fly on its A319 fleet. For both hubs, Bordeaux and Nantes becomes the Star Alliance carrier’s sixth French service from each airport, joining in both instances existing flights to Paris CDG, Nice, Toulouse, Lyon and Marseille.
