The first flight by SWISS from Zurich is greeted at Bergen Airport with a water arch salute. The Star Alliance carrier used one of its new CSeries 100 aircraft for the inaugural service on 27 May. The flight will operate twice-weekly from early July before ending at the end of August.
- SWISS on 27 May launched its second route to Norway. On that day the Star Alliance carrier began weekly (Saturday) flights between Zurich (ZRH) and Bergen (BGO). The 1,442-kilometre route will be flown using a mix of the airline’s E190s and CS100s with a second weekly frequency being added in July. No other airline operates between these two airports. The service operates until 30 August according to OAG data. SWISS already serves Oslo in Norway with daily service.
