Join our expanding team ‒ anna.aero seeks new analysts
Opportunities like this don’t come around all that often (well about every five years). anna.aero is seeking a new analyst to join our team of data elves at our secret headquarters in our secure bunker under London Gatwick’s runway. anna.aero is produced by PPS Publications. You are an expert analyst, capable of working independently, researching and writing a self-contained, coherent piece of analysis which can be easily understood by a global readership where English may not be a first language;
You have a comprehensive knowledge of global passenger air transport markets and love keeping up-to-date with the latest airline network developments;
You are an experienced user of Excel (as well as OAG and/or Innovata schedule databases ‒ preferred but not essential). Experience sourcing route passenger data from official sources would be a plus;
You have a high level of geographical knowledge (i.e. fluency);
You are flexible and hard-working, and you will be extremely accurate in your work and 100% confident that it has been robustly researched and is ultimately defensible;
You are confident enough to approach a wide spectrum of senior airport and airline managers, ministers, presidents, movie stars and doormen;
You are prepared to learn new essential publications skills and requirements – for instance you will totally embrace the importance of sourcing the news images which are the hallmarks of anna.aero;
You will write, update and maintain The Route Shop (www.therouteshop.com) database entries;
You will have a broad mind, a sense of humour, and a preparedness to work in a liberal office environment of dedicated professionals and radicals;
You must be able to live close to our Gatwick HQ;
You will be required to travel internationally on regular occasions throughout the year, representing anna.aero at global conferences and on high-level visits anywhere in the world. This is a benefit which you can use to your personal advantage;
You will occasionally work on titles and projects for anna.aero’s sister publications and products.
What you can expect from us:
You will be a member of a team comprising the publisher, editor, assistant editor, web developers, graphic designers, and the advertising sales team – first and foremost anna.aero is a profitable business which must pay the salaries of all these people!
We will support you, guide you, help you, and protect you. But you must stand on your own feet too! You must be a team player. Therefore Manchester United supporters will not fit in.
