- Lufthansa launched two new European routes from its Frankfurt (FRA) base this week, adding its ninth Spanish service and 13th Italian sector, according to OAG schedules. Starting on 31 October the Star Alliance carrier inaugurated three times weekly services to Genoa (GOA), flown by its CRJ 900 fleet. Pamplona (PNA) flights commenced on 6 November, with Lufthansa utilising its A319s four times weekly to operate the 624-kilometre sector. Neither city pair faces any direct competition.
