Phnom Penh Airport arranged a welcoming committee to celebrate the arrival of Xiamen Airlines’ inaugural service from Xiamen. Chloé Lapeyre, GM, Phnom Penh Airport (sixth left) was on hand to greet the first flight. Xiamen Airlines will operate the 2,010-kilometre airport pair four times weekly and faces no direct competition on the route.
- Xiamen Airlines launched operations on the 2,010-kilometre route between Xiamen (XMN) and Phnom Penh (PNH) on 28 January. The link will be flown four times weekly using 737-800s and faces no direct competition. The new service is the Chinese carrier’s first connection to Cambodia’s second largest airport, with it already serving Siem Reap from Xiamen and Fuzhou.
