Flybondi’s inaugural flight to Neuquen was met with a water arch salute on 26 February, while the LATAM Airlines A319 not only waits to depart, but to also see how well-received Argentina’s newest LCC will be at its newest destination, an airport where LATAM held a 27% share of seat capacity in 2017.
- Flybondi has now added a further two routes to its new base at Buenos Aires El Palomar (EPA), with the Argentinian LCC commencing services to Neuquen (NQN) and San Carlos de Bariloche (BRC). Both launched on 26 February and the airline will operate the 978- and 1,319-kilometre routes daily using its 737-800s, with neither airport pair facing direct competition as Flybondi is the only scheduled airline operating from El Palomar. To date, Flybondi has launched eight routes from its Cordoba, Mendoza and El Palomar bases, with a further eight services poised to launch from the latter airport before the end of May.
