TAROM Timisoara

TAROM commenced its second and third domestic routes from Timisoara this week after Bucharest, with the Romanian flag carrier now linking the former city to Iasi and Cluj-Napoca. A press conference was held at Iasi Airport to celebrate the new service, with the airport also baking a classic three-tier cake for the launch.

  • TAROM opened its second and third domestic routes from Timisoara (TSR) this week, namely Cluj-Napoca (CLJ) and Iasi (IAS). The airline already links Timisoara with Bucharest. Iasi flights commenced on 25 March and will be flown four times weekly. Cluj-Napoca services were inaugurated the following day and will be operated three times weekly. No competition will be provided on either of the 504- and 211-kilometre sectors, with both scheduled to be operated by the carrier’s fleet of 68-seat ATR 72-500s based on OAG data.
