Traditional Greek dancing welcomed the arrival of Qatar Airways new route from its Doha hub to Thessaloniki in Greece. The oneworld carrier already offers a three times daily connection from its base to Athens, flown with a mixture of its A330 and A320 fleets.
- Qatar Airways commenced its second Greek destination in its network on 27 March, with the addition of a four times weekly operation to Thessaloniki (SKG). The 3,141-kilometre service from the airline’s Doha (DOH) hub will be flown by its A320 fleet. While this route faces no direct competition, the oneworld carrier already flies to the Greek capital city of Athens three times daily.
