Tenerife South Airport welcomed the arrival of the first SmartWings service from Tel Aviv on 27 March. Celebrations included a ceremonial cake cutting and a fire truck water arch for the arriving 737 MAX 8. The carrier will operate the 4,923-kilometre airport pair weekly (Tuesdays) facing no direct competition.
