It has been a very busy week for new routes with an entire 125 services having launched during the first week of May. But which new airline commenced operations with one aircraft and one international route? Which route did easyJet launch as an effect of Spanair’s bankruptcy earlier this year? 36 new routes were launched in the last week, with easyJet standing for the most with 10 launched routes. But which country does Cebu Pacific serve, that never previously has been connected non-stop with the Philippines? Which capital city now has its first route to Rome? And which US airport got an important new long-haul link?

The airline’s E-190 was welcomed to the Japanese island, which is located between Taiwan and Japan’s main islands. China Airlines already serves Okinawa twice-daily from Taipei Taoyuan.

The effects of the summer scheduling season start are not over quite yet. In the last week, 54 new routes were launched. Which two low-cost airlines, one brand-new and one previously suspended, launched operations? Which US carrier expanded its European network with another Barcelona route? And which is Ryanair’s latest new base?

Bratislava had a welcome delegation wearing Viking helmets to greet passengers arriving on Norwegian’s first flight to the Slovakian capital, offering bread and salt as well as traditional Slovak Demänovka liquor.

It’s the start of the summer scheduling season! 250 new routes, fully analysed and fully illustrated. But which airline launched the most new routes with an entire 70 launched services?
