BAD mistake in Ryanair half-year results

Here’s a curious one. When Michael O’Leary presented Ryanair’s impressive 20% half year profit jump, he also showcased future developments including a new two aircraft base at “BAD” opening next March. BAD is the IATA three-letter code for Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana – the base of the US Air Force 2nd Bomb Wing and 44 B-52 Stratofortress nuclear strike aircraft.

Vueling plans major network expansion at Barcelona for summer 2012; 13 new destinations announced, six in France

With Ryanair now the third biggest airline in Barcelona, local carrier Vueling has announced a raft of new routes to help it defend its position as the leading airline at the airport. New routes for next summer include less familiar low-cost destinations such as Groningen and Strasbourg, as well as the airline’s first service to Munich.
