Routes Europe 2017 reconnaissance trip – get ready for Belfast’s titanic hospitality and warm Irish welcome
Routes Europe Belfast 2017 is less than two months away, so anna.aero decided to take a quick trip over to the Northern Irish capital to investigate what it has to offer for the 1,200+ delegates which will descend on the city between 23-25 April.
Taking place on the island of Corsica between 22 and 24 February, CONNECT 2017 is expected to attract 65 airlines and 250 airports. As always, anna.aero will be there to produce its world famous conference magazines, and Chief Analyst Ralph Anker will also be leading a series of panel discussions, as well as giving his expert overview of the European market.

Budapest Airport and anna.aero have confirmed this year’s air transport industry’s premier charity-sportive event – “The Race to Find the Fastest Airline in the World” – will take place at 11:00 on Saturday 2 September 2017 on Budapest Airport’s 13R-31L runway.

Last week anna.aero was invited to attend the Tampere Aviation Forum II to learn of the various projects that are developing the largest inland Scandinavian city into a Smart City, and the issues facing regional airlines and smaller markets in the European region, including those that serve Tampere. In October, more than 50 airports and a dozen airlines met for a series of productive meetings and classes during the Sixel Airports Conference in Lexington, Kentucky. As well as serious business, as ever there was serious networking to be had too, with the welcome event being held at Keeneland Race Course – the US’ prettiest race track.
