On 13 June Ryanair announced its plans to open a base at London Southend with three aircraft operating 13 routes from April 2019. Southend is already a base for easyJet. The anna.aero-RABA HubLAB Heathrow Connectivity Conference took place at the third British-Irish Airports EXPO in London on 12 June. In the Star Presentation easyJet’s Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer, Robert Carey revealed the airline’s plans for a potential base at an expanded Heathrow would include 18 domestic links and 61 European routes.
