Airbus and Boeing kick-started 2018 with a total of 71 deliveries between them in January, up two from a total of 69 unit handovers in the same month last year. Despite the improvement on month one of 2017, the duo’s productivity result for last month was 195% lower than December’s performance.

Airbus and Boeing together delivered 144 aircraft in November, resulting in a 15% increase in productivity when compared to the 125 units they handed over in November 2016. The result of month 11 is the best that the duo have registered this year in terms of deliveries, beating the 139 units they distributed in June.

Airbus handed over 55 aircraft in September, while its North American rival Boeing distributed 78. Of the 133 aircraft delivered, 73% were narrow-body and 27% wide-body.
