Alitalia launches new sunshine routes from Milan Malpensa
- Alitalia, through its subsidiary Air One, launched two seasonal leisure routes from Milan Malpensa (MXP) on 1 July. Until 18 September, the airline flies four times weekly to Heraklion (HER) on the Greek island of Crete, competing with easyJet’s five weekly flights on the same route. The second route is to Mahon (MAH) on the Spanish island of Menorca, which Air One serves six times weekly, facing competition from easyJet’s daily flights as well as each weekly services with Vueling and Air Europa. Both of the new routes are served with Air One’s 180-seat A320s.
