Alitalia launches domestic, Greek, Spanish and Albanian routes from Pisa and Milan

Cake of the Week:
Air One’s new Pisa base

A stunning cake of Pisa’s Square of Miracles, including the Leaning Tower, accompanied the logos of the Alitalia subsidiary Air One and SAT, the airport company. Toasting to the new base for the ‘smart carrier’ were Lorenzo Caporaletti, Business Unit Manager of Air One, and Gina Giani, CEO of SAT.

  • Alitalia, through its leisure subsidiary Air One, launched seven new routes in the last week; one international from Milan Malpensa (MXP) and the remaining six from its new, second base at Pisa (PSA), the main airport in Tuscany. Three of the Pisa routes are domestic and three international. Two further routes, Menorca and Prague, are yet to be launched. Air One’s single fleet of 180-seat A320s operate all of the new routes, only three of which avoid direct competition.
