TACA on 6 August launched a new service connecting San Salvador (SAL), the capital of El Salvador, with Havana (HAV) in Cuba. The route will be operated three times weekly using an A319 with a capacity of 120 passengers. Flights will depart El Salvador at 09:00 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and depart from Cuba on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 18:00. Danilo Correa, AviancaTaca’s Regional Sales Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean said: “This new flight strengthens tourism and commercial relations between these two countries, allowing connection options to other important markets in the region. In this exciting context we are delighted to inaugurate this new flight.” The route is TACA’s third to the Cuban capital after flights from San José and Lima.
