Cake of the Week: Brindabella Airlines’ Brisbane to Armidale

Brisbane Airport baked a cake to celebrate Brindabella Airlines’ new route to Armidale, which now is served five times weekly, having been unserved since 2006.

  • Brindabella Airlines, the Australian regional airline, on 15 August launched a new route from Brisbane (BNE) to Armidale (ARM) in New South Wales, located halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. The 380-kilometre route is operated on weekday mornings with 30-seat Jetstream 41 aircraft. The last airline to have operated the route is Sunshine Express Airlines, which dropped the route when it suspended scheduled operations in 2006.
