Hong Kong Airlines launches new route to Chongqing from Hong Kong

Hong Kong Airlines became the latest airline to serve Chongqing in Mainland China. The airline partly owned by Hainan Airlines now competes with Air China and Cathay Pacific’s Dragonair on the route from Hong Kong.

  • Hong Kong Airlines, the airline analysed this week, added another city in Mainland China to its network on 1 September. The airline now flies daily between its Hong Kong (HKG) base and the mega city of Chongqing (CKG). Flights are operated with 164-seat 737-800s, competing with Air China’s and Dragonair’s also each daily flights.
