Route of the Week:
Bangkok Airways’ Bangkok to Bengaluru
Bangkok Airways’ check-in area in the Thai capital’s airport was decorated in a Bengaluru theme. Passengers to check in for the first flight were greeted with special gifts by the airline staff, who were dressed in Indian saris.
- Bangkok Airways expanded its Indian network on 26 September. The airline, which began serving the country market through Mumbai in March this year, now also flies between Bangkok (BKK) and Bengaluru (BLR), the southern Indian city previously known as Bangalore. Flights initially operate with 120-seat A319s five times weekly, but frequencies increase to daily on 1 December. Competition comes from Thai Airways’ daily flights.
