SpiceJet launches new regional routes with Q400 fleet

SpiceJet’s Tirupati to Hyderabad and Vizag
At Tirupati Airport, which got two new SpiceJet routes with the low-cost airline’s new Q400 aircraft, there was a cake baked to celebrate the event. Cutting the cake was Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, looked on by Mrs Daggubati Purandhareswari, MP from Vizag Constituency.
In Hyderabad, where the new Q400 aircraft are based, SpiceJet’s CEO Neil Mills lit the candle for the new routes, before being joined by Daggubati Purandhareswari, MP from Vizag Constituency, and Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, in untying the ribbon.
- SpiceJet, the Indian low-cost carrier, launched five new routes on 21 September with its new regional fleet of 78-seat Q400 aircraft. Three out of the five routes originate in Hyderabad (HYD) in southeastern India, where the aircraft are based.
