Kingfisher Airlines launches three new routes to Colombo
Kingfisher Airlines launched three routes this week from southern India to Colombo (CMB), the capital of Sri Lanka, which the airline already serves from Chennai. On 30 September, the airline began operating its route from Kochi (COK), while services from both Thiruvananthapuram (TRV), also known as Trivandrum, and Tiruchirapalli (TRZ) were launched on 1 October. All three services are operated once daily with ATR72 aircraft. Competition comes from SriLankan Airlines’ each daily flights, except to Tiruchirapalli to which SriLankan operates 11 times weekly alongside Mihin Lanka’s four weekly flights.
