Arik Air launches new route to Cotonou, Ouagadougou and Bamako
- Arik Air launched a new stopping service from its Lagos (LOS) hub in Nigeria on 11 October. The new service is operated twice-weekly with 76-seat CRJ900 aircraft. The airline firstly flies to Cotonou (COO), the largest city in Benin, competing with Air Nigeria’s eight flights a week. The aircraft then continues to Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou (OUA), operating in competition with Air Burkina’s four flights a week and Kenya Airways’ weekly service. The final leg before the return is to Bamako (BKO), the capital of Mali, which competes with Air Burkina’s daily service, twice-weekly flights on Air Mali and Senegal Airlines’ weekly service.
