Firefly resumes Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan service
- Firefly, Malaysia Airlines’ full service subsidiary, on 30 October resumed its domestic service between Kuala Lumpur Subang (SZB) and Kuantan (KUA). Flights operate twice-daily with ATR72 aircraft. Following operations by Malaysia Airlines between 1998 and 2002, and Pelangi Air between 1998 and 2000, the 200-kilometre route connecting Malaysia’s west and east coast was again dropped in 2009 by Firefly after one year of operations.
