Blue Islands launches new route from Jersey to Manchester

  • Blue Islands, the regional airline based in the Channel Islands, launched a new route from Jersey (JER) to Manchester (MAN) the north of England on 31 October. The daily flights are operated with ATR42 aircraft and compete with Flybe’s also daily flights. Andrew Harrison, Manchester Airport’s Managing Director, said: “Blue Islands is new to Manchester and I’m very pleased that they have chosen to operate services from here, once again demonstrating the attractiveness of Manchester to airlines. The Channel Islands are very popular destinations and we know that our passengers will be pleased that these remain part of our network. Blue Islands brings a ‘welcome differences’ of no baggage or card charges which will make a real impact. I’m sure that this service will be very successful and I look forward to working with Blue Islands.”
