EVA Air of Taiwan launches three new route to the US and Mainland China
- EVA Air launched three new routes in the last week out of its hub at Taipei Taoyuan (TPE); one intercontinental and two across the Taiwan Strait. On 31 October, the Taiwanese airline changed New York airports from Newark, NJ to New York JFK, NY (JFK). The same day, the airline – alongside China Airlines – launched a service to Haikou (HAK) on Hainan Island. The two weekly flights on MD90s compete with China Airlines’ three weekly operations as well as Hainan Airlines’ twice-weekly service. On 30 October, EVA Air also began flying to Jinan (TNA) in Mainland China. The four weekly MD90 operations compete with Shandong Airlines’ also four flights a week.
