SAS now competes with Norwegian on the route from Norway’s capital Oslo to Palanga on the Lithuanian Baltic Sea coast.
- SAS Scandinavian Airlines launched three intra-European routes in the last week; one from Oslo (OSL) and two from Stockholm Arlanda (ARN). The airline now flies three times weekly from the Norwegian capital to Palanga (PLQ) on Lithuania’s Baltic Sea coast, competing with Norwegian’s two weekly flights. From Stockholm, the airline launched four weekly flights to Gdansk (GDN) on the Polish Baltic Sea coast and five weekly flights to Milan Malpensa (MXP) in northern Italy. The Italian route was operated by Lufthansa Italia until the closure of the base at the end of the summer season. All three routes are operated with the airline’s 123-seat 737-600s.
