AerArann again flies between Dublin and Kerry

If you didn’t know where Kerry was before you saw this cake, you will know now, as pointed out by Maedhbh Daly (aged 5) from Knockaderry National School, Farranfore, Co. Kerry. Cutting the cake were Kerry Airport chairman Denis Cregan and Aer Arann chairman Padraig O’Ceidigh, flanked by cabin crew members Karen McCarthy and Melanie Fitzgerald.

  • AerArann connected the Irish capital Dublin (DUB) with Kerry (KIR) in the southwest of the country on 3 November. The airline flies the route twice-daily with ATR72 aircraft. This makes AerArann the second airline in Kerry, after only Ryanair. The route between Kerry and Dublin was last also operated by Ryanair until the airline dropped its services in September this year. Prior to Ryanair taking up the Public Service Obligation (PSO) route in 2008, Aer Arann was the operator of the route.
