Air Europa launches new routes from Madrid to Milan and Amsterdam

  • Air Europa launched two new routes out of Madrid (MAD) with its 122-seat E-195 aircraft last week. The Spanish SkyTeam carrier then began serving Milan Malpensa (MXP) and Amsterdam (AMS), each twice-daily, from the Spanish capital. The airline faces considerable competition on both routes; to Amsterdam from KLM’s 35, Iberia’s 21 and easyJet’s 12 flights a week as well as Vueling’s daily services and even Korean Air’s three flights a week, while the Milan Malpensa route is operated in competition with Iberia’s 26 flights a week and easyJet’s 19 weekly services.
