Emirates launches new route to St Petersburg from Dubai

Mohammed A Ahli, Director General Dubai CAA, and Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ EVP Passenger Sales Worldwide, cut the cake during the reception at St Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport. This is Emirates’ second Russian destination after Moscow.

  • Emirates launched its second route to Russia on 1 November when the airline connected its Dubai (DXB) hub with St Petersburg (LED). The daily service on board a mixture of A340-300s and A330-200s complements the airline’s twice-daily Moscow Domodedovo flights. Competition on the new route comes from Rossiya’s twice-weekly flights. Sergey Emdin, Director General of Northern Capital Gateway, commented: “Flights to the Northern Capital, launched by one of the world’s largest airlines, supports Pulkovo’s route network expansion, offering our customers an opportunity to travel all around the globe in comfort with Emirates.”
