Sichuan Airlines launches two new routes to Hainan Island
- Sichuan Airlines launched two new stopping domestic services to Haikou (HAK) on the tropical island of Hainan on 1 November. Each flight operates three times weekly. From Changzhou (CZX) in the east of the country, the airline now flies via Zhuhai (ZUH) in the south, competing with Tianjin Airlines’ four weekly flights on the first sector and then with China Southern’s daily and Xiamen Airlines’ five weekly flights between Zhuhai and Haikou. The second new route is from Harbin (HRB) in the northeast of China, operating via Ningbo (NGB) in the east. From there to Haikou, Sichuan Airlines faces competition from Hainan Airlines’ 10 flights a week and a weekly service on Beijing Capital Airlines.
