In Zacatecas a fanfare welcomed José Luis Suárez, Volaris’ Sales Director and Zacatecas Governor Miguel Alonso Reyes when stepping off Volaris’ first flight from Chicago Midway…

… followed by a press conference, ribbon-cutting…and then a party!

  • Volaris has inaugurated three new routes to Chicago Midway (MDW) airport. Flights from Mexico City (MEX) operate four times weekly (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday), while Morelia (MLM) and Zacatecas (ZCL) each have two weekly flights to Chicago’s second busiest airport. With its fleet of 33 A320s the Mexican carrier has around 18% of the Mexican domestic market and thanks to carrying over 87,000 passengers on international flights in September, now has a 5.5% share of the international air travel market.
