REDjet, the new airline attempting to bring low fares to the Caribbean market, has finally succeeded in launching two routes to Kingston (KIN) in Jamaica. Twice-weekly flights have been started from both Port of Spain (POS) in Trinidad, and Barbados (BGI). Both of these routes are already operated by Caribbean Airlines. These are REDjet’s fourth and five routes, with a sixth starting this week, which anna.aero will report on next week. REDjet currently operates two former American Airlines MD-82s, with a third expected to join the fleet soon to facilitate further route expansion.
