  • bmibaby launched two new ski routes between the UK and the Alps in the last week. On 16 December, the 737 operator began operating from East Midlands (EMA) to Chambéry (CMF), located in the French Alps, between Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva. Flights operate twice-weekly. The following day, bmibaby launched a route between Belfast City (BHD) and Geneva (GVA) on the Swiss/French border. The airline already serves Geneva from East Midlands and Birmingham, while Chambéry is a new destination for the low-cost carrier.
