Royal Jordanian starts serving Nairobi from Amman
- Royal Jordanian has established a new link between Amman (AMM) and Nairobi (NBO) in Kenya. The route will be served four times weekly from 16 December using A319s. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing from Amman at 20:30 and reaching Nairobi at 02:55 the next day. The flight back from Nairobi is on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays at 03:50, reaching Amman at 08:00. No other carrier currently serves the market with direct flights. According to the airline, it plans to launch two new African routes (to Algiers and Lagos) during the first quarter of 2012, and is conducting studies to see whether it is feasible to inaugurate routes to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, and Accra, capital of Ghana. Royal Jordanian is working on putting these cities on its route network during the first half of 2012.
