AirAsia increases KL network to 55 destinations

  • AirAsia has added two new destinations from its Kuala Lumpur (KUL) hub. From Monday 6 February, Asia’s biggest low-cost carrier has added daily flights to Semarang (SRG) in Indonesia, and three weekly flights to Surat Thani (URT) in Thailand. The airline group already serves Surat Thani double-daily from Bangkok, but this is the airport’s only scheduled international destinations. Semarang is a new destination for AirAsia. Both routes will be operated by the airline’s growing fleet of A320s. This brings to 55 the number of destinations served non-stop from Kuala Lumpur by AirAsia, with over 160 daily departures.
