Delta adds 12 destinations to its NY LaGuardia network, and connects Seattle with Paris CDG

Piedmont Triad Airport’s Authority’s Kevin Baker, Executive Director; Stephanie Freeman, Marketing Manager; Tom Marzoke, Delta Station Manager; and Piedmont’s Chairman Henry Isaacson celebrated the new LaGuardia route launched by Delta to the Greensboro, North Carolina airport with a selection of cakes, but a total of 12 US airports welcomed new Delta services from the New York City airport in the last week.

Although we have already reported on Delta’s launch of flights between New York LaGuardia and Nassau in the Bahamas, we just got hold of these pictures from the 2 March launch, which even featured a brass band! Minister of Tourism & Aviation Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace, Tourism Permanent Secretary Hyacinth Pratt and Delta Country Manager Richard Pile greeted disembarking passengers to Nassau.

  • On 25 March, Delta started the first batch of new destinations from New York LaGuardia, NY (LGA), and is now flying to 12 new US destinations. The move comes as a result of an extensive slot swap between Delta and US Airways, which involved LaGuardia and Washington National and was previously covered by analysis. Delta faces US Airways on as many as 10 routes, while American Airlines provides substantial competition in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (DFW) and Miami, FL (MIA) markets (98 and 70 weekly flights respectively). The following table summarises the new routes launched by Delta from LaGuardia. For detailed fleet information, please see our downloadable spreadsheet of all new routes launched this week.
