S7 expands its Khabarovsk network; starts flights from Yakutsk to Beijing
- Following last week’s launch of four routes, including two from Khabarovsk (KHV), the Russian oneworld carrier S7 added further two routes from the capital of Khabarovski Krai in the Russian Far East. On 29 March, the airline launched new domestic route to Magadan (GDX) in the Eastern Russian region of Kolyma, while flights to Hong Kong (HKG) commenced on the following day. Each of the two routes is operated once a week. There is no competition on the international route, while IrAero, Yakutia Airlines and Sakhalin Airlines each serve the 1,600-kilometre routing to Magadan with weekly flights, and Vladivostok Air provides further four-weekly frequencies. In addition, S7 started international services from Yakutsk (YKS) to Beijing (PEK), which are offered thrice-weekly. All new routes are operated with the airline’s fleet of A320s.
