SilkAir launches new route from Singapore to Wuhan

In Singapore, passengers on the maiden flight to Wuhan, SilkAir’s seventh destination in Mainland China, were welcomed at the gate with regional pastries from the Hubei province and commemorative diplomas.

  • On 24 April, SilkAir, the narrow-body operating subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, commenced thrice-weekly services connecting its Singapore (SIN) base and Wuhan (WUH) in Central China. Flights on the 3,400-kilometre route are operated with aircraft from the A320 family. China Eastern provides the only direct competition on the route, which it serves with also thrice-weekly frequencies.
