In Singapore, passengers on the maiden flight to Wuhan, SilkAir’s seventh destination in Mainland China, were welcomed at the gate with regional pastries from the Hubei province and commemorative diplomas.
- On 24 April, SilkAir, the narrow-body operating subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, commenced thrice-weekly services connecting its Singapore (SIN) base and Wuhan (WUH) in Central China. Flights on the 3,400-kilometre route are operated with aircraft from the A320 family. China Eastern provides the only direct competition on the route, which it serves with also thrice-weekly frequencies.
