Air Botswana launches route to Cape Town in South Africa

Air Botswana increased its network to neighbouring South Africa on 1 June when the airline connected Maun (MUB) in northern Botswana with Cape Town (CPT). Flights operate daily with BAe 146 aircraft. Although the airline already operates from Gaborone, Francistown, Kasane and Maun to Johannesburg in South Africa, the new service from Maun is the airline’s only route to Cape Town. The airline particularly targets safari tourism to the Okavango Delta region, for which Maun is the gateway, from Cape Town.
