airBaltic resumes flights from Riga to Dublin

  • Latvian carrier airBaltic has re-introduced flights between Riga (RIX) and Dublin (DUB). The route used to operate year-round with between two and seven weekly flights until the route was withdrawn last August. Now the route is being re-launched as a summer only service with four weekly flights between 1 June and 31 August. Flights depart Riga at 23:20 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The return flight departs Dublin at 01:10 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving back in Riga at 06:10. The route is served by a 737. Competition is provided by Ryanair which serves the routes with daily flights. Back in January when the resumption was announced, Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic, said: “Due to repeated calls from our customers and high demand, we have reintroduced Dublin as a seasonal flight this summer.”
