Alitalia launched its second route to Libya on 3 June when the Italian SkyTeam airline began operating twice-weekly between its Rome Fiumicino (FCO) hub and the country’s second-largest city Benghazi (BEN). The airline already flies daily to Libya’s capital Tripoli. The new operation, which is performed with 88-seat E-175s, is taken over from Libyan Airlines, which dropped the route on 26 May.
