Dutch Antilles Express launches first route to the United States

Dutch Antilles Express was welcomed by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department as the Curacao-based airline took on American Airlines and Insel Air on the Miami route – the airline’s first to the United States.

  • Dutch Antilles Express, the Caribbean regional carrier based in Curacao (CUR), launched its first route to the US on 1 June when it began serving Miami, FL (MIA). Flights operate daily with MD83 aircraft. Competition comes from American Airlines’ twice-daily operations and Insel Air’s six flights a week.
