Estonian Air returns to the Italian market with new route from Tallinn to Venice

A busy maiden flight on the return leg of the new Estonian Air route from Tallinn to Venice is a good omen for the airline, which returns to Italy after a nine month break.

  • On 9 June, Estonian Air resumed services to Italy with new route from Tallinn (TLL) to Venice (VCE). The twice-weekly service comes as yet another spoke for the airline’s emerging Tallinn hub. Flights are operated with CRJ900s and 737-500s. Rauno Parras, Estonian Air’s CCO, said: “A poll conducted last year revealed Venice was the most sought-after summer holiday destination for Estonians, but Italian tourists will also welcome a direct link between northern Italy and Tallinn.” The airline left the Italian market in September 2011; over the seven years of its presence there, Estonian Air operated flights to both Milan airports, as well as to Rome Fiumicino.
